RedteaGO vs Ubigi

Compare RedteaGO and Ubigi using dated country-package prices, coverage records and sourced activation and hotspot conditions.

The decision in context

Choose using the destination, trip length and total data you need. The tables use dated official-source records; they do not rank network speed, support quality or the entire market.

Shared recorded destinations: 1. Complete coverage inventory appears below.

Fixed-data prices for stated trip requirements

Each row keeps one currency and identical minimum requirements. A package may include more data or days than required; its whole recorded price is used. No top-up, renewal, currency conversion or discount is inferred.

Unlimited-labelled alternatives are a different model

Unlimited-labelled data is not a verified total high-speed allowance. A hotspot limit describes sharing, not necessarily the handset fair-use threshold. The examples below are separate from the fixed-data price verdicts.

No unlimited-labelled package is recorded for this pair in the current sample.

Where the catalogue has evidence

Numbers count dated package records in our catalogue, not all countries sold by each provider. A dash means no record here, not that the provider has no product.

Activation, sharing and refund examples

These are selected published policy examples with their original scope. Read the exact package notes for country-specific exceptions; a general rule is not a promise for every product sold by a brand.

RedteaGO

Activation

The product requires activation within 30 days and says an expired order is unavailable and non-refundable. Current FAQ recommends installation on the day of departure with internet; the quick guide says install and activate before departure, then connect on arrival. The precise event that starts the selected validity clock was not established in the checked current sources; confirm it for the purchased plan.

Applies to: selected country data-only fixed plans

Official source ↗

Hotspot

Country pages advertise hotspot sharing. It draws from the fixed total data balance; no separate tethering cap was established. No unlimited hotspot or unlimited-data claim is made for these fixed plans. Japan 10 GB/60 days and 20 GB/90 days specifically require all eSIM APN settings to be vmobile.jp for hotspot; this setting was not established for the other selected products.

Applies to: selected fixed data-only country plans

Official source ↗

Refund

For provider-caused technical problems preventing activation or normal use, refund or replacement requests must be made within 30 days of purchase, with cooperation in troubleshooting and supporting evidence. Expired unused data is forfeited and is non-refundable, non-extendable and non-transferable. Activated accidental purchases are treated as used unless otherwise explicitly stated; this is not an unconditional refund promise.

Applies to: provider-caused technical failures and expired plans

Ubigi

Smartstart begins validity when the plan activates on arrival in a covered destination. The product instructions say a plan unused for six months after purchase expires.

Applies to: One-time Smartstart product instructions; verify the selected package

Official source ↗

Hotspot

The checked product pages allow data sharing. They do not state a separate hotspot cap.

Applies to: Recorded fixed-data packages; exact product source retained per plan

Topup

One-time packages can be topped up after their data allowance is consumed; packages and checkout prices can change.

Applies to: One-time data plans

Choose the package that fits your trip

Use the fixed-data result only when both products satisfy your dates, destinations and total-data requirement. Prefer a differently priced package when its confirmed coverage, sharing or activation conditions fit better. No named provider is the universal winner.

For an unlimited-labelled product, confirm the high-speed and sharing rules separately. For a multi-country trip, verify every stop in the exact product coverage list.

Reference-price labels remain visible and are excluded from unqualified lowest-price verdicts. Research dates belong to the individual records, not to a new check of every provider today.
