Set up your travel eSIM, step by step.

Choose your phone and installation method. Follow your provider’s instructions for the exact plan.

Before you travel

Connect to reliable Wi-Fi. Check when your provider starts the plan’s validity: installation and activation may be different events. Keep the QR code and activation details private.

QR code

  1. Open your phone’s SIM settings and choose Add eSIM. Menu names vary by model and software version.
  2. Choose the QR-code method and scan the code supplied by your provider from another screen. Use a saved image only if your phone supports that option.
  3. Follow the system prompts and give the new line a recognisable name, such as Travel. Check the provider’s activation timing before enabling it.

Manual entry

  1. Open Add eSIM in your phone’s SIM settings and look for manual entry or activation-code entry.
  2. Enter only the setup details supplied by your provider, such as the SM-DP+ address and activation code, or the activation string requested by your phone. Do not invent or reuse another plan’s details.
  3. Follow the system prompts, label the travel line and check its details. If manual entry is unavailable or rejected, use the provider’s supported method or contact its support.

At your destination

Select the travel eSIM for mobile data. Enable data roaming on that eSIM if your provider requires it. Keep data roaming off on your home line and disable automatic mobile-data switching where available. Calls and messages on your home line may still incur charges.

No connection yet?

Check that the plan is active, covers your location and has data remaining. Follow your provider’s APN and network instructions. Do not delete the eSIM as a troubleshooting step unless the provider tells you to: reinstallation may not be possible. Contact the seller for order and activation support.
