Start with your destination and dates
Open both providers’ pages for the country or region you will visit. Select packages that cover your full stay and list the included countries for a multi-stop trip. Airalo and Holafly both have Japan destination pages, but that does not establish the terms for another destination. Keep each package’s source beside your comparison and repeat the check if you change the dates or itinerary.
Compare allowance rules
Use the selected package’s data allowance rather than assigning one permanent plan type to an entire provider. Read fixed-data limits, unlimited conditions and validity carefully. For a fixed allowance, estimate whether it will last the trip; for unlimited, look for full-speed and fair-use terms. A meaningful comparison describes how the two chosen plans behave for your needs, rather than declaring a brand the winner in every country.
Verify sharing and activation
If you need a laptop connection, check the hotspot allowance for each selected plan. Holafly provides destination-specific sharing information, so do not assume its conditions are identical everywhere. Also check when each package begins counting validity. Airalo documents that activation can depend on the package policy. Keep installation timing separate from the days of service you are purchasing, especially if you plan to set up before leaving.
Choose using the whole-trip cost
Record the current total price in the same currency where possible, then add any extra packages needed to cover the trip. Keep new-customer discounts separate from the normal price. Compare included services, support options and refund conditions on the providers’ own pages before paying. This page is a buying framework, not a hands-on network test or a guarantee that one provider will be faster at your destination.
